In operative Masonry, the craftsmen who built the great cathedrals and civic structures of antiquity relied on a set of tools — the square, the compass, the level, the plumb, and the setting maul — to shape rough stone into works of enduring beauty and precision. Freemasonry borrows these implements as moral and spiritual symbols, teaching its members to apply their lessons in everyday life.
Our Working Tools sponsors honor that tradition in a very practical sense: their contributions fund the operating expenses of Harmony & Light, ensuring that every dollar raised through ticket sales and the silent auction flows directly to our beneficiaries. Saturday, December 5 — come be part of it.
Doors and the silent auction open at 5:30 PM; the concert begins at 7:00 PM at the Dallas Scottish Rite Cathedral, 500 S Harwood St, Dallas. The Lewisville Civic Chorale and the Woodrow Wilson High School Variations Show Choir & Chamber Choir perform. 100% of proceeds fund scholarships at the Dallas Scottish Rite Library and Museum and student programs through the Greater North Dallas High School Alumni Association Scholarship Fund.
